The major news outlet Bloomberg reported that in 2021 at least 40 residential properties sold for over $50 million across the country. They cite the source of data compiled by the appraisal company Miller Samuel.

This is said to be around an 835% increase in purchases of super-luxury homes over purchases made in the year 2020 which was also noted as a record year for luxury real estate. The surge in sales for this tier of real estate has been surprisingly unexpected by some real estate experts.
