Every year there’s a series of fun Christmas community events on Marco Island which are all part of the Christmas Island Style celebration. Here is a list of this year’s 2021 Christmas Island Style events on Marco Island.
December 4 Annual Tree Lighting and Community Celebration
This event kicks off the actual Christmas season at Mackle Park at 6 PM. Due to this year’s health and safety regulations, as well as park regulations, there will be no tailgating on the field and alcohol is prohibited throughout the park.
Canine Pet Parade
This is a parade featuring the furry members of Marco Island. It will take place from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM on December 7 at CJ’s on the Bay
Celebrate IV
This is a collaboration of solo and ensemble artists working together to welcome the holiday season with a night filled of musical and dramatic selections all themed in sacred and secular yuletide themes. It is essentially a community carol sing-along starting at 7:30 PM at Marco Lutheran Church. Tickets for the event are free, but need to be picked up at Marco Lutheran Church office. Celebrate IV takes place on December 7th.
The best little Christmas pageant ever
This is a fun and cheerful holiday live performance put on by the Island Theatre Company at the Marco Presbyterian Church fellowship hall beginning at 7 PM on December 9th
The Annual Christmas Street Parade
This is perhaps the most anticipated of Christmas Island Style events on Marco Island. The parade will take place on December 11 at 6:30 pm.
Chamber Holiday After Five
This event will take place on December 15 at the Marco Beach Hilton resort at 5:30 PM
Holiday Movie in the Park
On December 17 beginning at 5:35 PM in Mackle Park will be a free community showing of the movie Jack Frost sponsored by Christmas Island Style and Marco Island Parks and Recreation. Bring a cozy chair, some blankets, and your favorite snacks and enjoy a movie with your friends.
American Abbey
This is a live play performed by sis Morrow acting studio there will be shows December 17th, 18th, and 19th at varying times there will be both matinee and evening performances available. The play will take place at Marco Island Charter Middle School.
Cookies and Milk with Santa
This fun and festive cheerful event will be on December 18 in Mackle Park from 10 am to 12 PM sponsored by Christmas Island Style and Marco Island Parks and Recreation
The Marco Island Annual Christmas Boat Parade
The parade will feature several local Islanders and some from far away with dressed up light displays on their boats slowly gliding through the waters around the island. The parade will take place on December 18 at 6 PM.
Annual Awards Presentation
The Christmas Island Style Festival will wrap up with an awards presentation at Marco Lutheran Church at 5:30 PM. It is a great way to recognize all of those who have participated and put their heart and love into these fun community events to help everyone on Marco Island get together and enjoy a wonderful holiday season.
